About Pam

Elder Pamela Grimes
Ordained Teacher and Minister of Dance

Elder Pamela Grimes of GOLD, Inc.Pamela Grimes is a native of Plains, Georgia.  She has resided in Albany, Georgia for the past 14 years.  She was born to Charlie M. and Annie Rose May.  Pamela is the youngest of 11 children.  She now resides in Sylvester Georgia.  She is married to Deacon Hiram Grimes and they have a 3 year old son named Caleb.

Pamela surrendered her life to God on April 15, 1999 and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior.  On May 19, 2000 God called her into the ministry.  She was then licensed and began preaching the Word of God.  Early in her ministry life she served in various capacities in the Church such as Sunday school teacher, choir member, choir director, prayer intercessor, praise and worship ministry team and dance ministry leader.  She was later ordained as a Minster and Teacher of Dance.  In 2009 she was ordained as an Elder.  Although those early ministry roles proved most helpful in shaping and developing her, Pamela felt that she was not walking fully in the purpose and destiny that God had ordained for her life.

In 2002 Pamela began to cry out to God of why she existed in the earth; what was His original purpose for her life.  It was then that He reminded her that He had anointed her feet to dance.  From that point forward, Pamela began to learn as much as she could about the ministry of Dance.  In addition of being taught by the Holy Spirit through His word, she read many books and attended dance conferences.

In 2003 God gave Pamela a vision and a pattern to build a praise dance school of ministry called GOLD, Inc.  GOLD stands for God Ordained Liturgical Dance.  God told Pamela that there were a lot of people dancing but not of out revelation. He said that they were not dancing the dances that He has ordained from the beginning of time.

GOLD, Inc. is not a ministry that teaches people how to dance; it is a ministry that “frees” people so that they can dance.  The 6-month curriculum taught in GOLD, Inc. frees man and women to dance openly and unashamedly before the Lord as King David did when he brought home the Ark of God and established the tabernacle of David.

The tabernacle of David was a place and time where a person could become intimate with God.  There were no rituals, no sacrificing of animals, only the sacrifices of praise and worship.  It was a time of spontaneity where a person could dance and sing and praise God.  It was a place where the prophetic took place and the song of the Lord was heard.  God said in Acts 15:16 that He was going to return and rebuild the tabernacle of David which has fallen down…

Elder Grimes believes that as God begins to rebuild and restore the tabernacle of David, that dancers are going to play a key role.  God is calling all dancers to declare and decree the NOW word of the Lord through movement.

God has placed a mandate and a gifting on Elder Grimes’ life to birth and empower men and women all around the world who have call on their lives to dance.
